Metamorphic Technique
What is the Metamorphic Technique?
|
The Metamorphic Technique is concerned with change and
transformation. Change can occur on a number of
different levels - physical, mental, emotional and
behavioural - the Metamorphic Technique is a tool for
personal change and transformation.
In some cases changes are immediately noticeable, while
in others they are more subtle. These changes can range
from significant improvements in physical, mental or
emotional health to general feelings of having more
energy and confidence, releasing old habits or gradually
letting go of past hurts.
The
technique involves a light
touch on the spinal reflexes of the feet, hands, and head, with the
whole session lasting about 60 minutes.
During the session you can either talk, or
choose to quietly relax. A safe, relaxing
space is provided where you can ‘just be’. Use of the
technique enables us to move from feelings of limitation
towards accessing more of our potential. It is not concerned with addressing
specific symptoms or problems.
It is not a massage or even a healing. There is no diagnosis or physical
manipulation. A light non-invasive touch
using just thumbs and fingers is used and
the experience will be gentle, pleasant,
relaxing and undemanding. |

We
all have great potential, but due to
limiting beliefs that we hold about
ourselves and our lives, we tend to get
ourselves caught in particular patterns that
keep us from fully realising that potential.
The Metamorphic Technique helps us to help ourselves. It allows
our
own life energy to begin the work of
transformation, which happens unconsciously,
automatically, naturally, and without
effort. The
Metamorphic Technique acts as a catalyst to
this energy (or life force),
gently enabling you to transform ingrained
patterns of thought and behaviour. You may
then cope with situations in life in a more
positive way. Patterns transform and changes
happen, enabling you to better realise your
potential
People are often drawn to the Metamorphic
Technique during periods of transition or
difficulty – whether it be bereavement,
illness, divorce, career change, moving
home, or simply seeking to move forward
creatively. You may feel at a
crossroads or 'stuck' in your life.
Many find they cope better in these periods.
Some may wish to make deep inner changes
without having to analyse the past, others
find that they are able to deal with
stressful situations more effectively.
Who
can benefit?
Metamorphic Technique is suitable for anyone, of any
age. Children love it! It is safe if you are well
and strong, ill or dying. People with all kinds of
disabilities can enjoy receiving sessions. It is
safe to receive in conjunction with conventional
medicine or complementary therapies. It is fine for
pregnant women to have sessions, and the unborn
child can benefit too. There is no need for the
practitioner to know about your personal or medical
history, although you are free to talk about these
if it is what you want.
Much of this explanation is drawn from the
websites of the
Metamorphic Association,
and of the founder of the technique,

information on the technique, training, and so on,
